The first day of school in the Coronavirus era

April 7 marked the resumption of classes in Denver, albeit online only. School board President Carrie Olson took to Facebook to welcome parents and students back in both English and Spanish. She said it felt almost like the first day of school in the fall, though leaves are just beginning to unfurl on trees. Chalkbeat did a nice article on how teachers prepared for this day, and a follow-up on how that first day went.  It was the first of many that will be like no others that came before.
