From a press release:
“In an effort to alleviate the disruption and rising tide of food insecurity brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Colorado Food Cluster (CFC), a group of community organizations, is joining forces to deliver “Enrich-Kits” which include 7 days worth of free, nutritious meals every week to thousands of students.
The CFC kicked off the program in the southwest region of Denver, initially serving 400 students who attend KIPP Colorado Schools. Now in its fourth week, the program is serving 2,500 students per week across the KIPP network in Denver with the goal of reaching 15,000 students district-wide in Denver Public Schools by early January. Thus far, there has been a 98% success rate with deliveries.”
Boardhawk partners Transform Education Now and Faithbridge are among the organizations supporting the effort.
