Entering 2021, Boardhawk is doubling down on its commitment to community-focused commentary and reporting on public education in Colorado, with a particular focus on Denver Public Schools.
Please welcome our new community reporter, T. Michael Boddie. He will be writing a variety of news stories, many centered on mission-driven, community-centered organizations that advocate for better educational outcomes for the students who have been poorly served by public education systems.
T. Michael is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina. He is currently a graduate student of media and public communications at the University of Denver, and he was previously a reporter for The Charleston Post and Courier. Contact him at 757-617-6955 or on Twitter at @tmboddienews.
We’ve also added an advisory board that will help guide our coverage and commentaries. Please see our About page for a list of advisory board members.
2021 will be a pivotal year for public education, in Denver and across Colorado. A superintendent search, board elections, and the ongoing challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic will be front and center in our coverage, and in the minds of parents, students, and the community at large.
